Grand Prize Winner of the Concurso International de Piano Compositores de Espana 2002, between 1998 and 2004 Federico Gianello has won first prizes at piano competitions such as “J. Brahms” Poertschach, “Premi Principat de Andorra”, Pinerolo Piano Competition, “Città di Marsala”, “A. Rendano” Rome and has been awarded at “E. Grieg” Oslo, “S. Stancic” Zagreb, “G. B. Viotti” Vercelli.
Since he was young he has distinguished himself as the overall winner of the competitions Muzio Clementi of Florence, Coppa Pianisti d'Italia of Osimo and the RAI Television Concert Prize of Arco di Trento.
As a soloist, he collaborates with Orquestra Sinfonica de Madrid, Greiz Symphoniker, West Czech Symphony, JSO Weimar, Croatian Radiotelevision Symphony Orchestra, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmonica dell’Arena di Verona, I Virtuosi Italiani, GOG di Genova, Orchestra da Camera di Padova e del Veneto.
He performed in chamber music ensembles with Noah Bendix-Balgley, Simone Bernardini, Glauco Bertagnin, Ania Serova, Zagreb String Quartet, Alfredo Zamarra.
His numerous recordings, both audio and video, were made by RAI Radiotelevisione Italia, Bayerische Rundfunk and Radio France.
As a student of Imola Piano Academy, he studied with Lazar Berman and Alexander Lonquich, after which he finished “Koncertexamen” program at the Hochschule fur Musik “Franz Liszt” Weimar with Gerlinde Otto, receiving the highest and most prestigious artistic title in Germany.
He worked as a teacher at the Hochschule fur Musik “Franz Liszt” Weimar, and is a president of Steinway Society Verona.
